The Strategic Planning Committee one that represents a broad range of demographics and interests.  It includes retirees and folks still working outside the home; golf members and social members; empty nesters and families with young children; full-time and part-time residents; and long-time residents as well as those who have only lived here only a short while.  As such, this brings a variety of perspectives to the committee’s work and will result in answers that reflect the needs of the entire community.

The committee members are in the process of conducting focus groups and one-on-one interviews among various constituencies within Palmetto Hall. The committee is also interviewing outside stakeholders including realtors, Town of Hilton Head leadership, and other association management to fully understand the issues that will affect Palmetto Hall's future. Once all this initial work is complete, the committee will develop a survey to be distributed to the entire community. Your feedback will be critical to the Strategic Planning Committee’s work.

The Board of Director’s Mission Statement for Palmetto Hall is used as the foundation for the committee’s work.

“Continuously improve Palmetto Hall as a premier residential community by enhancing property values for all owners and the quality of life for all residents.”

Ultimately, the task of the committee will be to develop recommendations to help ensure that Palmetto Hall fulfills this mission, including the formulation of clear goals and strategic initiatives required to get there.
